We are in URGENT need of Remote German Speaking Reservation Agents for our Houston and Salt Lake City locations. We are looking for 4 Agents, 2 Part Time & 2 Full Time and need to have them in place by October.

Remote Reservation Sales Agent – German Support - Part Time & Full Time – NHC (North Houston Reservation Center) & SLC (Salt Lake City Reservation Center)

Houston, TX & Salt Lake City, UT

Salary during Training: $7.56/hour

Upon successful completion of training, Salary: $9.89 / hour (includes language override of $2.33)

Please note that this position will be hired under the subsidiary Continental Airlines collective bargaining agreement or divisional work rules until a joint agreement or combined divisional work rules are obtained.

Responsibilities:

- Handle incoming phone calls from the Foreign Language Desk (FLD) that include booking global itineraries and answering inquires from customers
- Efficiently handle special requests; assist all customers including those with disabilities using United guidelines
- Utilize customer service and sales techniques to effectively address customer needs
- Consistently deliver a standard-setting product to our customers
- Maintain statistical excellence in all areas to support productivity goals
- Be accountable for all scheduled telephone time to meet service level goals
- Maintain an ergonomically correct work area
- Provide hardware for remote office to include desktop PC, broadband internet, telephone, and headset.
- Must be fluent (speak, read, write, and comprehend) German (language assessment test will be administered)
- Must be fluent (speak, read, write, and comprehend) English
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must possess a high school diploma/GED or the equivalent
- This is a part time position
- Must have experience using computers, including MS Outlook and Office Communicator (Instant Messaging)
- Customer service experience required
- Must be flexible to work any shift within a 24-hour period including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to attend a full-time (8 ½ hour) training class within a 24 hour period in the Reservations Office, as well as remote agent training
- Must provide a remote office work environment that is free of distractions and transparent to the customer
- Must provide the technical requirements for desktop PC, internet, phone line, and headset for your remote office
- Must be willing to provide a hard-wired traditional phone line from a local phone company, free of all features (i.e. call waiting, call notes, etc), in the calling area.
- Must be willing to provide a secondary phone line for communication purposes during work schedule. This may be a cellular phone
- Must be willing to work in the traditional office environment for approximately 6 months prior to commencing the remote work assignment. Remote work assignment will be contingent upon successful completion of proficiency testing
- Must be willing to travel to the reservations office when needed
- Must be proficient navigating through the internet
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent listening skills
- Previous sales experience preferred
- Must agree to follow all established United policies including those found within the Working Together Guidelines, Reservations Handbook, Drug and Alcohol Policy, and other applicable United policies and rules
- Must be able to pass a 10-year security background check
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship

Das Jobangebot find ich nicht gerade prickelnd – Heimarbeit rund um die Uhr-Schichten für 9,89 $... und da ist der Sprachenzuschlag schon inklusive….

Arbeitszimmer, Arbeitsmittel, Compter mußt Du selber stellen – genauso wie den Internet-Anschluß.

Naja, um den Fuß in die Tür zu bekommem ist das Job-Angebot sicherlich nicht soooo schlecht. Besser als bei Walmart an der Kasse sicherlich :)

Yikes, da hab ich ja als Student schon mehr verdient.
Aber es gibt bestimmt gute Möglichkeiten, sich hochzuarbeiten, wenn man sich geschickt anstellt.

Ich bin sicher keine, die sich für Arbeit zu schade ist - und ich verstehe "Eingangsjob" usw.

Aber das ist ein echter Ausbeuterjob. Du mußt das ganze Arbeitsequipment und den Internet-Anschluß selber stellen - außerdem noch einen Arbeitsplatz einrichten, der den gesetzlichen Anforderungen entspricht (Maintain an ergonomically correct work area). Also PC am Küchentisch ist nicht.

Du mußt im 24-Stunden-Schichtdienst arbeiten - die Anforderungen sind weitaus höher als ein "Walmart-Kassierer"-Arbeitsplatz.. (ich werte die Walmart-Mitarbeiter nicht ab - ich hab selbst für 6,50 € bei Woolworth gejobbt).

Du bist garantiert da in irgendner Heimarbeiter-Freiberuflichen-Stelle ohne Benefits...

Das reguläre Gehalt (ohne den Sprachzuschlag) liegt übrigens noch UNTER dem Anfangsgehalt als Walmart-Mitarbeiter .... bei Walmart startet man mit 8,20 $..... als Anfänger ohne jede Erfahrung....:

Walmart has levels of pay from 1-7. Level 1: $8.00 - cart pushers, People Greeters, and Fitting Room Associates
Level 2: $8.20 - Maintenance Associates
Level 3: $8.40 - Cashiers, Instock

Level 4: $8.60 - Sales Associates

Level 5: $8.90 -Connection Center (Wireless)

Level 6: $9.30 - CSM/CSS, Merchandise Supervisor/Department MGR, Personnel
Level 7: $9.70 - Asset Protection Agent, etc
Assistant MGR - $40-45,000 salary

CO-MGR: $72-75,000 salary
Store MGR: $95-110,000 salary

In manchen Staaten mit höheren Mindestlohn sind diese Stundenlöhne entsprechend höher (z.B. Illinois)

Klar - man darf nen "Billig-Job" anbieten - aber das, was man für den Job alles mitbringen soll, ist einfach ein bißchen mehr, als bei Walmart verlangt wird, wenn man Einkaufswagen wieder zurückschiebt...

Oh du schoene neue Welt... Schlimm ist nicht einmal so sehr, dass ein Unternehmen solche Stellen zu solchen Bedingungen ausschreibt (die gehen nach dem Motto vor "versuchen kann man es ja mal") - schlimm ist, dass sich mit Sicherheit ein paar arme Hanseln finden werden, die auf diese Bedingungen, die gelinde gesagt unter aller Würde sind, einsteigen.

Was das für Auswirkungen hat? Beim nächsten Mal wird die Schraube noch ein bisschen tiefer gestellt... :ohno

Ich bin zwar nicht Wendy, aber "remote office" ist doch wohl deutlich genug, oder?

Erst 6 Monate im SLC oder Houston (Wo kommt man da bei dem Stundenlohn unter? Bleibt einem auch noch ein Dollar oder zwei für 1x pro Woche essen?), dann (eventuelle) Uebernahme als fester freier Mitarbeiter. Oder auch nicht, weil man sich dann nach noch billigeren Lohnsklaven umsieht.

Ich darf nicht weiterschreiben - ich schäume schon fast vor Wut darüber, dass solche Stellenangebote überhaupt rausgegeben werden.

Ei SORRY aber nachdem ich am Anfang Houston und Salt Lake City office gelesen hab, hab ich aufgehoert weiterzulesen da es zu weit ist fuer mich, deswegen hab ich gefragt. Muss man ja nit gleich pampig werden ;)
