First possible cases of Swine Flu in Louisiana
WWL First News Reporting
As a precaution, Governor Bobby Jindal has ordered the closure of a school in Lafayette, after five student tested positive for "Type A" flu.
In all, nine students at the Catholic K-8 school are sick, and further tests are being conducted to determine if the five who tested positive for "Type A" flu actually have "Swine Flu."
Jindal says the school shutdown was precautionary because one of the five children who had the flu was in Mexico in the last two weeks.
Officials say the swine flu outbreak may have started in Mexico.
The governor says further testing will be done to determine whether the children have swine flu.
