“A kid had an AR-15 strapped to his body, and he argued that on the theory that I may face lethal force in the future because a person may — who never touched him — get his hands on my gun and wrestle it away and then once he’s wrestled away, turn and kill me. Based on that theory of a potential fear in the future, the jury found he was justified in shooting and killing someone in the present,” Henderson added.

“So, I think that yes, if you take your gun to a protest in the future, or any heated situation, I think you’re inclined to feel that you are within your rights to use it, and that’s very dangerous for all of us.”

Mein Verstaendnis von self-defense ist wohl komplett falsch. Wenn ich bewaffnet zu Protesten mit Gewaltausschreitungen gehe, um anderer Leute "Eigentum zu schuetzen", mit dem ich auch noch so rein gar nichts am Hut habe, dann habe ich mich schon im Inneren darauf vorbereitet die Waffe zu nutzen.
Von self-defense kann da also keine Rede mehr sein.
Mit diesem Urteil fuehlen sich Leute wie er, Zimmermann, etc. bestaetigt. Einfach auftauchen, Leute, die man nicht mag, ein bisschen provozieren und dann losballern. Passiert ja eh nichts. Freibrief fuer alle Waffennarren und militias.

Auch schoen ist die Aussage einiger, dass die Opfer eine dicke Strafakte gehabt und somit das Ganze verdient haetten.
Seit wann knallen wir denn Leute einfach ab, die eine Straftat begangen haben bzw. ihre Strafe abgesessen haben? Egal, wie man zu deren Taten steht, we don't just kill guilty people either.

System is not broken. It works just as it was intended and benefits the right kinda folks.
