Herbed Chicken & Mushrooms
Cook 7 hours on low or 3 ½ hours on high
Makes 6 servings
5 cups sliced assorted fresh mushrooms
1 medium onion, chopped
½ cup chopped carrot
¼ cup dried tomato pieces
1 cup chicken broth
1 teaspoon dried thyme
½ teaspoon dried basil
½ teaspoon garlic salt
¼ teasppon pepper
2 pounds chicken tighs or drumsticks
Serve with noodles or rice
1.[FONT="] [/FONT]In a slow cooker combine mushrooms, onions, carrot and dried tomato pieces. Pour chicken broth all over.
2.[FONT="] [/FONT]Sprinkle with thyme, basil, garlic salt and pepper.
3.[FONT="] [/FONT]Place chicken pieces on vegetables.
4.[FONT="] [/FONT]Cover and cook on low heat for 7-8 hours or on high for 3 ½ hours.
Slow Cooker Goulasch
1 ½ pounds beef stew meat
2 medium carrots, chopped
2 medium onions, sliced
2 red or green sweet peppers
2 gloves garlic, minced
1 ¼ cups beef broth
1 6 ounce can tomato paste
1 tablespoon paprika
½ tablespoon salt
¼ teasppon black pepper
1 bay leaf
Serve with noodles or rice
1.[FONT="] [/FONT]In a slow cooker combine meat, carrots, onions, garlic and pepper.
2.[FONT="] [/FONT]In a small bowl combine beef broth, tomato paste, paprika, salt, black pepper and bay leaf.
3.[FONT="] [/FONT]Stir into meat and vegetables mixture.
4.[FONT="] [/FONT]Cover and cook on low heat for about 8 hours or on high heat for 3 ½ to 4 hours.
